A British Columbia police officer bought a plane ticket with his credit card for a disoriented senior so that she could be reunited with her family.

A British Columbia police officer bought a plane ticket with his credit card for a disoriented senior so that she could be reunited with her family.

Andre Almeida helped the woman, who was displaying dementia-like symptoms, after she disembarked from a cruise ship in Victoria and never returned.

Victoria police officers took her to the airport after talking with her family in New York, and when her credit card did not work Almeida wanted to help.

 

"It could be my mom stranded somewhere," he told CBC News.
