NY Police Save Baby Deer from 20-foot-deep Manhole

Long Island police spent over four hours rescuing a trapped fawn that had fallen into a 20-foot manhole. Landscapers working by a vacant lot under construction in the New York neighborhood of Mount Sinai called Suffolk County Police when they noticed the fawn had fallen into the manhole, police said.

Compassionate Cop Responds to "Vicious Dog" in Baltimore City

The Mk9 blog published a story about a Vicious Dog 911 call, and the Police Officer who responded to it. Instead of assuming the dog to be vicious and shooting it dead, which is not as rare as you might think, the officer analyzed the situation and saw a nervous dog that needed help.
