Good News, Grads! Starting Salaries Are Beginning to Rise
The class of 2015 can look forward to more money in their first paychecks and more job openings than last year's graduates saw.
On Monday, Chipotle Mexican Grill became the first major American restaurant chain to swear off the use of genetically engineered ingredients.
Steve Ells, founder and co-chief executive of Chipotle said, "Just because food is served fast doesn't mean it has to be made with cheap raw ingredients, highly processed with preservatives and fillers and stabilizers and artificial colors and flavors."
‘In 2013, Chipotle was the first restaurant chain to indicate which items contained genetically modified organisms," according to the NY Times.
The Food and Drug Administration maintains that GMOs are safe. Most of the country's corn and soybean crops are genetically modified to be able to resist plant diseases, says a CBS news report about Chipotle's decision.
