The number depends on who is in the Michigan Cancer Center for chemotherapy treatments. Since his father's death in 2007, he keeps going back and buying coffee. Now, Starbucks fans are donating to the cause.

A terrified kitten has been rescued on Dublin's busy M50 thanks to the police (gardaí) and a driver for the Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The four month old kitten was spotted by passing motorists shuddering and alone as cars sped by within several feet.

Girl Sends Wish to Santa on 2 Pink Balloons, Answered 700 Miles Away

A little girl's Christmas wish is coming true after a letter to Santa soared 684 miles on two little pink balloons, landing on a rural California ranch. The rancher, who recognized the tattered letter written in Spanish as a note to Santa, traveled 50 miles to the nearest shopping mall to find gifts for the girl whose parents have fallen on tough times.

Formerly a visiting English teacher, Michael Brosowski launched the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation in 2004 that has helped more than 350 Vietnamese youngsters get off the streets and into school and safe shelter -- and has provided more than 2,500 children with education, health, housing, career and legal assistance.
