Saudi Arabia is changing slowly, but advances for women since 2005, including new gym classes in public schools for girls, portend a future with even more equality.
The Saudi king has granted women seats on the country's top advisory council for the first time.
Saudi Arabia's official news agency said Friday that King Abdullah issued a royal decree granting women seats on the 150-member Shura Council.
