Boy Buys Smoke Detectors for Neighbors Instead of PS4
An 8-year-old Texas boy had been saving for months to buy a new PlayStation 4, but after seeing the TV news report of a devastating fire where a mother and child were killed, he changed his mind.
After 8-year-old Myles Eckert found a twenty dollar bill in a restaurant parking lot last month, all he could think about was buying a new video game.
He changed his mind when he saw a man in uniform.
He wrote a note and gave it to Lt. Col. Frank Dailey.
"Dear Soldier — my dad was a soldier. He's in heaven now. I found this 20 dollars in the parking lot when we got here. We like to pay it forward in my family. It's your lucky day! Thank you for your service. Myles Eckert, a gold star kid."
