Green Corps Funnels Stimulus Money to Train Poor Youth in Solar Tech

$10 million dollars of California's stimulus money will fund the Green Corps, a program that will provide training for underprivileged youth to learn jobs in green construction, energy, and technology. 1,000 youth, ages 16-24, will be enrolled in the program, which will also receive $10 million from public-private partnerships, announced Gov. Schwarzenegger last week.

Obama, Dylan, Sing for Civil Rights at White House (Video)

In spite of the historic snow storms, the White House held a special concert last night called "In Performance at the White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement" to honor Black History month. Bob Dylan sang his 1964 anthem, The Times They Are a Changin' for the first time in 30 years. Jennifer Hudson, Morgan Freeman and John Mellancamp were among the guests who gathered on stage with the President to sing the final song, Lift Every Voice.

Grape-Seed Extract Kills Leukemia Cells in Lab

An extract from grape seeds forces laboratory leukemia cells to commit cell suicide, according to researchers from the University of Kentucky. They found that within 24 hours, 76 percent of leukemia cells had died after being exposed to the extract.
