Fourth-Grader Makes Toys for Fidgeters to Pay For Classmates' Hot Lunches
The fourth grader was determined to sell enough of her handmade toys to pay for other kids' hot school lunches.
It's clear that Ruby Lewis can handle herself in a fight – but just in case things ever go south, it's good to know that her little brother will always look after her as well.
The 5-year-old girl from Columbia City, Indiana was in the middle of a competitive wrestling match with Ryan Prendergast at her elementary school last Sunday when her 2-year-old brother Jash mistook the sport as an actual fight.
Before his dad can stop him, the toddler charges onto the floor and pushes Ryan off of his sister.
As they're trying not to laugh, Jash's dad and the coach pause the fight so Ruby and Ryan and safely continue the fight without any unexpected tag-teaming.
Ryan's father, who was filming the exchange, said that the adorable exchange had the audience cracking up with laugher.
Crystal Lewis, Ruby's mother, told the Indianapolis Star: "It's nice to share a laugh, something that can just make you smile instead of be like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can't believe this is the world that we're living in today.'"
