Cat videos are so popular on the internet that the act of watching them has become a cliche for describing how to waste your time in bliss. (But while you're here, if you have not seen the video of the butcher chatting with a feline customer, then we highly recommend it.)

The latest offering is 30-second video of felines curious over a vacuum cleaning robot.

The YouTube clip, which was uploaded by RM Videos, features a dozen cats carefully stalking the suspicious gadget as it moves across the floor at an ominous 0.2 miles per hour.

After spending 20 seconds sniffing and following the machine in its tracks, the cats flee for cover when the device suddenly pivots on them and goes on offense.
