Puerto Rico Sends 'Barge of Hope' to Haiti
Although the barge's official name is the Carribean Pride, Puerto Ricans who've loaded it with 6 million pounds of food and medicine, plus generators and tarps are calling it the "Barge of Hope."
A blind violinist was trapped under the support beams of his music school in Haiti for 18 hours, but visualizations of his favorite concertos got him through.
By talking with God and reviewing every concerto he knew, this violinist was able to stay alive until friends were able to dig him out.
"I'm really proud that I was able to be in a horrible place and survive in a constructive, positive way."
