A Connecticut high school headmaster has reversed her decision to ban a student from the prom after he broke school rules by hanging his prospective date's invitation at the school entrance in big cardboard letters.

Outraged students and parents at the school started a Facebook page to urge school officials to let James Tate and his prom date attend the dance.

Tate even appeared on talk shows like Jimmy Kimmel and Good Morning America and phone calls to the school came from people around the world.
