Middle Schoolers Create 3D-Printed Boot for Injured Penguin (WATCH)
These clever teens weren't about to let this poor penguin waddle with an injured ankle forever.

Things weren't going too swimmingly for ‘Purps' the penguin after an injury to one of her ankle tendons left her with a heavy limp.

Using a newly-funded 3D-printer, the middle schoolers designed an orthotic boot for the 23-year-old African penguin, which now allows her to waddle freely without being weighed down by a cast.
