The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has contributed $50 million to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. The gift, announced Wednesday night by the Smithsonian, sets aside $30 million to create the Youth Access Endowment to reach underserved youth

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has contributed $50 million to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC.

The gift, announced Wednesday night by the Smithsonian, sets aside $30 million to create the Youth Access Endowment to reach underserved youth who do not get a chance to visit the museums – using online tools and materials for classrooms.
