The Baylor University Lady Bears left no doubt last night who reigns as the best team in the country. In fact, they're perfect. A dominating victory over Notre Dame (80-61) in the NCAA women's basketball championship on Tuesday night, capped a 40-0 season for the Waco, Texas team.

A dominating victory over Notre Dame (80-61) in the NCAA women's basketball championship on Tuesday night, capped a 40-0 season for the Waco, Texas team.

They became the first team in NCAA history — women's or men's — to win 40 games.

It was the second national championship for Baylor, which also won a title in 2005.
