These pumpkin carvings are so intricate, it's almost scary.
Edward Cabral, a young artist specializing in edible and very temporal art, spends three hours drawing his intricate designs, and another two to three hours carving the elaborate creations.
Check out this dazzling array of pumpkins made specially for the Jack-O'-Lantern Spectacular in Louisville, Kentucky:

This is Cabral's third year carving pumpkins for the Jack-O'-Lantern Spectacular in Louisville.
These sculptures won't last long past Halloween, but that's fine with Cabral.
"I'm interested in making work that must be destroyed to be completed and many of the media I choose cannot be archived," he says on his website.
