Canadians Trade Guns for Cameras in Creative Anti-Violence Program
The new Canadian program to reduce gun violence by promoting photography is called Pixels for Pistols. It aims to take guns off the streets by issuing a free Panasonic Lumix point-and-shoot camera to anyone who turns in a working firearm to the Winnipeg Police Service. So far, the program has collected hundreds of guns and rounds of ammunition

In addition to universal healthcare, Canada can now add swapping guns for cameras to its list of progressive policies.

The program to reduce gun violence by promoting photography is called ‘Pixels for Pistols' and it aims to take guns off the streets by issuing a free Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH8 point-and-shoot camera to anyone who turns in a working firearm to the Winnipeg Police Service.

The program started on November 1 is already a success.

Obama Deal Increases Fuel-economy Standards for US Cars

President Obama today announced the next phase in the Administration's program to increase fuel efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas pollution for all new cars and trucks sold in the United States. These new standards will cover cars and light trucks for Model Years (MY) 2017-2025, requiring performance equivalent to 54.5 mpg in 2025 while reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 163 grams per mile.
