7-year-old Dominic could not contain his excitement when his birthday wish finally came true: for his parents to finally get married.

Dominic's father, Eamon Hall, knew about his son's wish in advance. Assuming it would be the perfect time to propose, he had an engagement ring at the ready for when Dominic blew out the candles.

The proud New Jersey father then immediately dropped to one knee and popped the question to Dominic's mother, Samantha Panetta.

Though Panetta was initially stunned, she finally said yes – and nothing could beat Dominic's reaction.

The 7-year-old jumped onto his chair, whooping and hollering until he threw his arms back and yelled: "I'm gonna be a son!"
