After Decades of Holidays Spent Alone, Senior's Reaction to TV Crew's Surprise Brings Millions to Tears
When this 78-year-old men mentioned in a TV interview that he had spent twenty Christmases alone, they showed up at his house to surprise him.

This 78-year-old man named Terrence brought millions of television viewers to tears last week after he appeared on a BBC news interview and mentioned that he had spent the last twenty Christmases alone since his mother passed away.

The only reason that the pensioner will not be spending this year's Christmas alone is because-through his volunteer work for Age UK-he will be spending the holiday with a 90-year-old woman with dementia.

The hosts of BBC Breakfast were so touched by the heartfelt interview, they returned to Terrence's house the very next day to give him the gift of Christmas cheer.

In addition to BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker recruiting some local college students to bring a Christmas tree to the pensioner's home, he also brought the Oldham College choir to his door to sing "Silent Night"-his favorite Christmas carol.

Terrence was so overwhelmed by the surprise, he could barely keep himself from crying throughout the spontaneous visit.

Since BBC published the video to social media, it has also been viewed by millions of people praising the television reporters for orchestrating such a heartwarming surprise.
