In what might be the sweetest resignation story ever told, Chris Holmes, 31, quit his secure airport job in England by handing in a cake printed with a message saying, he was quitting.

In what might be the sweetest resignation story ever told, Chris Holmes, 31, quit his secure airport job in England by handing in a cake printed with a message saying, he was quitting.

He wanted to pursue his passion of owning and operating his own cake-decorating business.

"Today is my 31st birthday," he printed neatly with icing. "Having recently become a father I now realise how precious life is and how important it is to spend my time doing something that makes me, and other people, happy."

His website "Mr. Cake" received so much publicity that his success is likely assured.
