Artist Creates Amazing Portraits Using Thousands of Jelly Beans

Artist Creates Amazing Portraits Using Thousands of Jelly Beans
If you've been wondering what to do with that leftover Easter candy, check out the artist who makes giant portraits entirely out of jelly beans.

We're never seen artwork that's actually good enough to eat.

Check out this California-based artist making 4 x 6 foot murals made entirely out of jellybeans.

With each piece taking about 50-60 hours of work, Kristen Cumings recreates delicious versions of Van Gogh‘s Starry Night, Johannes Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, and Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

Kristen starts out with a framed board of her own acrylic painting to guide her colors – then she painstakingly places each individual jelly bean with spray adhesives to make them stick.

The tasty creations have sold with price tags as expensive as $5,000.
