New Zealanders Crowdfund $2Mil to Buy Private Beach for Public Enjoyment
A pair of brothers-in-law may have raised more than enough needed to buy a pristine, private beach and open it to the public.
Ecuadorian police on Friday stumbled upon a frightened sloth clinging to a highway rail in Quevedo–and showing off the most adorable face in the rainforest.
The mammal's happy-go-lucky expression has elicited tens of thousands of social media shares and raised the question as to what the animal was doing there.
Considering the sloth only moves when necessary–and very slowly at that–we can only assume it was trying to hitchhike to greener pastures.

All kidding aside, the Transport Commission confirmed the animal was in an excellent condition after being examined by wildlife specialists and has now been returned to its natural habitat.
