The reward is apparently not to be viewed as a bonus, but as compensation for LEGO's 18% growth since this period last year.
In addition, all employees will receive their regular bonuses in March.
"It's an incredibly good performance and a result of the hard work that more than 17,000 Lego employees around the world have done," Jí¸rgen Vig Knudstorp, CEO of the Denmark firm, reported in September, according to The Copenhagen Post.
