Britain's Prince William became the first member of the Royal Family in direct succession to the throne to take a civilian job. The new Air Ambulance pilot is donating his £30,155 annual salary to charity, saying, "I feel doing a job like this really helps me to be grounded and that's the core of what I'm trying to become." Country singer Tim McGraw celebrated Independence Day by giving new homes to 36 American veterans. He's been giving vets mortgage-free houses for three years now — well over 100 in total.

"I can honestly say that I got as much or more out of the experience than the veterans who received the new homes and assistance," McGraw said. (Full Story here…)
